Chancellor Gabel has officially approved Profs. Jennifer Laaser and Yiming Wang’s promotions to associate professor with tenure, and Professor Susan Maleckar’s promotion to Teaching Full Professor, starting Fall 2024. Congratulations Jenny, Yiming, and Susan!
Awards & Honors
Kabirul Islam, in collaboration with Partha Dutta in the medical school, just received a grant from the American Heart Association "to study changes in histone methylation in myocardial infarction". This grant will support the two labs with $750K for three years. Congratulations Kabirul!
Congratulations to Sunil Saxena, who won the 2024 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Doctoral Mentoring! Sunil is the 5th awardee in chemistry in the past 17 years.
