Gessica Adornato Receives NSF Graduate Reseach Fellowship

Graduate student Gessica Adornato is the recipient of an award from the 2024 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). The purpose of the NSF GRFP is to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the United Sates scientific workforce as well as broaden participation of the full spectrum of diverse talents in STEM. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support inclusive of an annual stipend of $37,000. Gessica is pursuing a PhD in the lab of Prof. Lillian Chong.

Pitt chemistry also had several honorable mentions recognized by the NSF GRFP this year: Grace Fleury (undergraduate), Hannah Hunter (graduate student), and Jordan Kuwik (graduate student).
