Phi Lambda Upsilon (PLU)

Phi Lambda Upsilon (PLU) is a National Honorary Chemical Society. The Xi chapter here at the University of Pittsburgh organizes a number of activities for the graduate students of the chemistry department. PLU has invited world renowned speakers for their annual Francis Clifford Phillips Lecture Series, they have organized social events for the department such as the new student picnic and the annual Christmas party, and award travel grants for members presenting at conferences

Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG)

GPSG is the student government organization that represents the interests of all graduate and professional students at the University of Pittsburgh. GPSG acts as the voice of all graduate students by having student representatives on various committees throughout the university.

Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences Graduate Student Organization

The Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is an official university student organization that advocates the interests and concerns of the graduate students of the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. The GSO provides the primary avenue of communications between graduate students and the administration as well as other university entities. The Dietrich School-GSO is also responsible for dispersing 50% of the student activity fees graduate students pay each semester.
