There are multiple options to consider if interested in a summer undergraduate research experience including the venue (e.g., in Pitt's Chemistry Department, at another University's Chemistry Department, in a Department other than Chemistry here or elsewhere, in industry, or in a Federal Laboratory), the type of compensation (e.g., for pay, for course credit, as a volunteer), and the source of compensation (e.g., a Summer UGR Fellowship won by the individual, from money set aside by a Principle Investigator in one of their grants, from the lab director's salary pool, or as part of dedicated summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates site).
