Congratulations to the American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter

The American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter in the Chemistry Department at the University of Pittsburgh, Oakland Campus, has been selected to receive an Outstanding Chapter Award for its activities conducted during the 2012-13 academic year. Of 367 chapters in consideration, only 53 were selected for this award. Dr. George Bandik is the faculty advisor to the American Chemical Society Student group, and for each of the last 25 years they have been recognized by the National ACS. A list of the 2012-13 award winning chapters will be published in "Chemical & Engineering News" and in the November/December issue of "inChemistry" magazine and they will be recognized at the ACS Student Chapter Award Ceremony that will be held at the 247th ACS National Meeting in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, March 16, 2014.
