Since 1992, Darryl Lee Baynes has been encouraging students to consider pursuing science, math and technology-related careers in aviation. His method of educating students is through entertainment, which he calls “edu-tainment.” Darryl and Linda Baynes co-founded Minority Aviation Education Association (MAEA) as a vehicle to encourage minority youth to pursue careers in the field of aviation. As the sole Program Presenter, President and CEO, Darryl Lee Baynes has traveled throughout the United States, entering local schools to spread the message. His formula is based on utilizing exciting, dynamic, educational, hands-on science demonstrations and experiments to capture the attention of students.
