Horne Lab Research Highlighted in C&E News

September 6, 2012 - 3:30am

Elucidating the role of the protein backbone in folding and how it can be engineered to impart new functions is a frontier challenge at the interface of organic chemistry and biology. Ongoing work in the laboratories of Professor W. Seth Horne and others seeks to answer this challenge. At the recent American Chemical Society National Meeting in Philadelphia, Prof. Horne presented an invited lecture at a symposium highlighting research on the chemical alteration of the protein backbone. The September 3 issue of Chemical & Engineering News includes an article highlighting the symposium and work from the Horne lab described there. Link to C&EN article
