The Pittsburgh Section of the American Chemical Society was awarded the Outstanding Large Section ChemLuminary at the 15th Annual ChemLuminary Awards celebration during the ACS National Meeting in Indianapolis, IN, on September 10, 2013. The Pittsburgh Section was recognized for its tireless efforts and work in promoting chemistry and the chemical sciences in the Pittsburgh area during 2012. Department of Chemistry Lecturer & Analytical Laboratory Coordinator, Dr. Michelle Ward, served as Chair of the ACS Pittsburgh Section during this award winning year.
