Prof. Nathaniel Rosi named Covestro Professor of Chemistry

The Covestro Chair is awarded to a tenured faculty member of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh who holds the rank of Full Professor and has demonstrated excellence and a promise of continued excellence both in research and scholarship. The designation recognizes eminence in a field of study accompanied by research impact at the international level. 

Prof. Rosi joined the faculty in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. In the years since, he has built an internationally renowned research program focused on the design and discovery of novel materials as well as the development of strategies to exert precise control over their structure, properties, and function. Prof. Rosi has published >115 peer reviewed papers to date and mentored >15 graduate students in completion of their Ph.D. degree.
