The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce the addition of Peng Liu to the Faculty in the Fall Semester.

July 11, 2014 - 9:30am

Dr. Peng Liu received his PhD degree under the direction of Professor Kendall Houk at the University of California-Los Angeles, where he remained for his postdoctoral work.  His research mainly focused on computational investigations to explore reaction mechanisms of transition metal-catalyzed processes including olefin metathesis, C-H activation, cycloadditions, and cross coupling reactions. In addition, he has performed molecular dynamic simulations of organic polymers, carbon nanomaterials, and enzyme catalysis.  For his independent research program, Peng plans to develop a streamlined approach to computational predictions for organocatalytic and transition metal catalyzed reactions.    Peng Liu Faculty Web Page
