The American Chemical Society Student Chapter at the University of Pittsburgh has been selected to receive a Green Chemistry Award.

The American Chemical Society Student Chapter at the University of Pittsburgh has been selected to receive a Green Chemistry Award for its outreach activities conducted during the 2014-15 academic year.

Out of 130 chapter reports submitted, the ACS Green Chemistry Institute® recognized 43 chapters for the academic year 2014-15, who successfully engaged in three or more green chemistry activities. In addition to recognition in Chemical & Engineering News and the student member magazine inChemistry, and in the ACS Green Chemistry Institute's e-newsletter, The Nexus, the winning Green Chemistry chapters received special recognition in ACS Green Chemistry Institute’s e-newsletter, The Nexus.  The Green Chemistry award winning chapters will also be honored at the 251st ACS National Meeting in San Diego, CA on March 13, 2016.
