Alysia Mandato (Ph.D 2025) was awarded the Pittsburgh Section of the American Chemical Society Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes outstanding volunteer service to the local ACS section. Throughout her time in graduate school at Pitt, Alysia volunteered with the ACS as local section Secretary and Chair, Central Regional Meeting co-Chair, newsletter editor, and outreach coordinator. Alysia is enormously grateful for the opportunities she found with the ACS to share chemistry with the community and serve the Pittsburgh Section.
