This special meeting will commemorate the early radium industry in Pittsburgh, the Standard Chemical Company (SCC) who produced most of the radium in the early 20th century, the Flannery brothers who started SCC, and the 1921 visit to this firm by Marie Curie.     The meeting will also mark the official unveiling of a related historical marker.
