Tenure-Track Massachusetts Lowell

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions.

The Department presently consists of 20 full-time faculty and lecturers and is growing. It offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in sub-disciplines of the field. Successful candidates will be expected to teach Chemistry at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop active, high quality, externally funded and internationally recognized research programs. A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, polymer science, or a closely related discipline is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Applicants at all ranks in the research areas of analytical, biochemistry, organic, and polymer science will be considered. Interests include, but are not limited to, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), drug development, sensors, analytical separations, catalysis, sustainable-/energy-related materials, quantum mechanical calculations of solids, biomaterials, membrane proteins, protein biochemistry, polymer synthesis and physical polymer science.
