Overview:
Sudoc is hiring a Technician who will contribute actively to our collaborative thinking culture. Sudoc is a start-up based on a family of catalyst molecules that can a) displace toxic chemicals in many products, and b) remove many toxic chemicals found in our environment. This family of catalysts, collectively known as TAMLs, can disrupt multiple markets and positively impact our environment and well-being. Our mission is to outperform toxic chemicals to responsibly replace and remove them from our planet.
Job Description:
As the Technician you will help drive the growth of the company through production of company products by chemical synthesis, directed research and development on catalyst synthesis, performance testing, and application development under the supervision of the Director of Research and Development.
Responsibilities:
- Produce pre-pilot scale batches of benchmark catalyst according to SOP
- Modify procedures with guidance from the Research Chemist
- Analyze products for composition, purity, and performance
- Record and communicate data with high precision
- Design and continuously improve SOPs
- Maintain laboratory equipment and manage chemical inventory
Requirements:
- B.S. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Position is full time and located in Pittsburgh, PA. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
