New joint postdoctoral position is available immediately in Prof. Chris Kloxin’s and Thomas Epps’ groups in the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering Departments at the University of Delaware (UD)!
This position is part of the Center for Hybrid, Active, and Responsive Materials (UD-CHARM), a National Science Foundation supported Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) at the University of Delaware. We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to lead an effort in the design and synthesis of sophisticated, targeted nanostructures using polymer-peptide building blocks. A particular focus of this work is the synthesis of polymers on the surface of peptide assemblies to create responsive nanomaterials. The postdoctoral researcher will report directly to Profs. Thomas Epps and Chris Kloxin but will collaborate with a range of graduate students and faculty within UD-CHARM. Candidates should have significant experience in polymer chemistry, specifically ‘living’ and/or ‘controlled’ polymer synthesis approaches. Experience in nanostructure characterization in thin film and solution environments is a plus. The position provides salary and full benefits. The position has a term of one to three years. If interested, please email email@example.com with a CV and the names of 2-3 potential references.--_________________________________Thomas H.
