I have recently started a candidate search for a MS level candidate to join the Process Research group here at AbbVie (formally Abbott). The group, under the direction of Steve Wittenberger, is responsible for synthetic route development and production of APIs to support preclinical through phase 3 studies and associated CRO and regulatory support. Responsibilities of the position will encompass a wide variety of activities from new route development to optimization and fundamental understanding of chemical processes to targeted structures, and scale up to support the drug development pipeline.
Please share this information with your colleagues and placement office at the institution as you see fit and provide to individuals that might be interested. Interested candidates should not only contact me directly (resume, research summary and references) but should also complete the application process at www.abbvie.com under Careers (look for job requisition Scientist I Chemistry 15000004OY).
I know that currently we are not directly recruiting for PhD level candidates, but our Medicinal Chemistry colleagues here in Lake County are currently interviewing for both small molecule, high throughput chemistry and antibody drug conjugates positions (Senior Scientist I, Organic Synthetic Chemistry 15000004A8, Senior Scientist I, High Throughput Chemistry 150000030L, Sr. Scientist I – ADC Chemistry 150000035Y). Candidates interested in those positions should go directly through www.abbvie.com under Careers.
Feel free to contact me for questions. Many thanks and best regards.
