Intern - SUNDOC - Pittsburgh, PA

Overview:

Sudoc is looking for an intern who will contribute actively to our collaborative thinking culture. Sudoc is a start-up based on a family of catalyst molecules that can a) displace toxic chemicals in many products, and b) remove many toxic chemicals found in our environment. This family of catalysts, collectively known as TAMLs, can disrupt multiple markets and positively impact our environment and well-being. Our mission is to outperform toxic chemicals to responsibly replace and remove them from our planet.

Job Description:

This internship will help drive the growth of the company through improvement of company products by chemical synthesis and directed research and development on catalyst synthesis under the supervision of the R&D Scientist.

Responsibilities:

  • Test reaction conditions to improve processing and scalability
  • Develop alternative synthetic routes to the desired products
  • Synthesize novel catalyst versions

Requirements:

  • Major in chemistry or chemical engineering
  • Completed at least one semester of Organic Chemistry lecture and lab
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Position is for a 12-week internship and located in Pittsburgh, PA. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Sudoc is an equal opportunity employer.
