ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF CHEMISTRY

THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH seeks to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry effective September 2023, pending budgetary approval. Candidates in the general areas of Biological Chemistry and Organic Chemistry will be considered, with a focus on individuals who are developing synthetic approaches to address important biological questions. Numerous opportunities exist for collaborations with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Magee-Womens Research Institute, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Carnegie Mellon University, and many other local institutions. Review of applications will begin on October 15, 2022 and will continue until the position is filled. Minimum Requirements are a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a closely related field, a record of research excellence as evidenced by publications in premier academic journals, an innovative and impactful research plan, and potential for teaching excellence. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
