Our faculty are advancing innovative approaches in the classroom, including active-learning methods like Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning. They’re also bringing real-world applications to life with creative initiatives such as the “Antibiotic Avengers.”
ASC-SA Earns National Recognition Once Again

The American Chemical Society – Student Affiliates (ACS-SA) chapter at Pitt continues to shine, earning the Green Chemistry Award. This honor reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of our student leaders.
Student Spotlights

Undergraduate Madison Martin is taking her passion for chemistry abroad, gaining new perspectives on science across the pond. Graduate student Sara Chedid, Class of 2025, is focused on advancing treatments through her research on mutant isocitrate dehydrogenation (mIDH) inhibitors.
