University of Pittsburgh

Inorganic and Materials Division

Inorganic and materials chemistry study at Pitt spans the entire periodic table, seeking ways of synthesizing new molecules and cutting-edge materials. Synthesis, characterization, and computational modeling are all areas covered by the Inorganic and Materials division.

Faculty research focuses on inorganic species for catalysis, polymerization, nanoporous materials, nanoscale electronics, as well as using colloidal and nanopartical arrays for biological sensors.

Below you can find details of the exciting research going on in the Division and follow links to individual faculty group websites.
