Research Assistant Professor

The University of Pittsburgh and the newly established Center for Simulation and Modeling invites applications for two Research Assistant Professor positions, pending budgetary approval. These positions are outside the tenure stream. Major responsibilities include playing a leadership role in the new Center, assisting students, postdoctoral fellows, and other faculty in optimizing software for high performance computer systems, and in exploiting state-of-the-art hardware for demanding computational applications. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in computational science or engineering and have experience with both hardware and software. Experience with LINUX and MPI is essential.
