The 2014 Ernest Guenther Award in the Chemistry of Natural Products was granted to Dennis for his creative syntheses of natural products and natural product stereoisomer libraries. The award recognizes and encourages outstanding achievements in the analysis, structure elucidation, and chemical synthesis of natural products. In selecting the nominee, special consideration is given to independence of thought and originality. The award is sponsored by Givaudan.
