The American Society of Pharmacognosy recently gave two awards to the Liu (Xinyu) Lab in recognition of their research efforts on natural products.
Professor Liu was given a travel award to support his presentation of his work on natural product biosynthesis at the 2012 International Congress on Natural Products Research in New York City . An undergraduate research award was given to Tyler Sevco to support his work on genome-guided natural product discovery with Professor Liu.
