The Hutchison research group surveyed over 90,000 possible pi-conjugated co-polymers for organic solar cells, and discovered many with over 10% efficiency, well beyond the current experimental efficiency record. The paper highlights an efficient way to screen polymer solar cell materials and also new design rules for synthesis.
