Congratulations to the new NOBCChE Pittsburgh chapter! At the 2010 Northeast Regional Meeting of the National Organization of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers recently held at the University of Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh chapter was officially inducted. Dr. Renã Robinson is the faculty advisor and Ms. Tamika Madison is the Treasurer for the newly formed chapter. The chapter includes undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students from Pitt, CMU and Duquesne Universities. NOBCChE is dedicated to promoting an increased interest in the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering among underrepresented communities. To achieve its mission, NOBCChE sponsors programs designed to foster professional development and encourage students to pursue careers in science and engineering.
