Professors Curran and Jordan elected ACS Fellows

July 1, 2009 - 9:20am

Both Professor Dennis Curran and Professor Kenneth Jordan have been elected to the inaugural (2009) class of Fellows of the American Chemical Society. The ACS Fellows is a new program, established in 2008, which recognizes members of the American Chemical Society for outstanding achievements in and contributions to science, the profession, and the Society. Unlike ACS national awards, the honor of designation as Fellow is conferred to those who have distinguished themselves in multiple areas, including the promotion of science, the profession, and service to the American Chemical Society. Professors Curran and Jordan will be honored, along with other 2009 ACS Fellows, at a special ceremony during the ACS National Meeting in Washington, D.C. on Monday, August 17, 2009. The event will be held at the J. W. Marriott Hotel in the Grand Ballroom Salon IV from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
