The American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Chapter in the Chemistry Department at the University of Pittsburgh, Oakland Campus, has been selected to receive an Outstanding Chapter Award for its activities conducted during the 2011-12 academic year. Dr. George Bandik is the faculty advisor to the American Chemical Society Student group, and for each of the last 24 years they have been recognized by the National ACS. The 2011-12 award winning chapters will be recognized in the November/December issue of "inChemistry" magazine and at the ACS Student Chapter Award Ceremony that will be held at the 245th ACS National Meeting in New Orleans, LA.
