It is with great respect and admiration that the Department of Chemistry extends its warmest wishes to Dr. Foil Miller on the occasion of his 100th birthday. Dr. Miller joined the Department as a University Professor and Head of the Spectroscopy Laboratory in 1967. As a research professor in the department, thirteen students received their PhDs under his mentorship. Professor Miller retired from the Department of Chemistry in 1981.
