A postdoctoral position is available in the labs of Prof. Millicent Sullivan and Prof. Thomas Epps in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at the University of Delaware. The position is focused on the synthesis, self-assembly, and characterization of DNA-containing block polymers for biosensing and drug delivery applications. Interested candidates should have a background in one or several of the following areas: controlled/living polymerization of end-functionalized polymers or block polymers, macromolecular coupling approaches, characterization of bulk nanostructured materials (e.g. SAXS, TEM, DMA), or characterization of solution assembled nanostructures (e.g. SAXS, SANS, cryo-TEM, DLS). Additionally, expertise in with molecular biology techniques and/or mammalian cell culture is desirable. The position is available immediately for a term of one year with the possibility of extension for a second year. A competitive salary and benefits package is available.
