Director, Office of Honors Research
The Burnett Honors College, University of Central Florida
Provides creative and innovative oversight of the Office of Honors Research (OHR). Responsible for research programs including the university-wide Honors in the Major, the oldest and most prestigious undergraduate research program at UCF. Promotes undergraduate research with students and faculty across campus, including workshops and conferences. Develops innovative, exciting new undergraduate research opportunities on and off campus. Assesses and evaluates impact of Honors undergraduate research engagement programs.
Works collaboratively with other UCF offices, including grant writing and program development. Partners with UCF’s Office of Undergraduate Research, Office of Research and Commercialization, Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, and Office of Experiential Learning to increase the breadth and depth of student research and engagement.
Integrates research experiences into the academic and professional development of a very talented student body. Networks with community partners. Participates in the Honors Symposium, the freshmen cornerstone course for all 500 incoming students.
Manages office budget, office staff, and student volunteers.
Preference given to candidates with Master’s degree or higher and previous experience administering undergraduate research programs at a large university.
