The research of
Professor Sunil Saxena's group
is featured in the
March 28th
edition of the C&EN on page 61.
The article describes developments in
electron spin resonance methodology that enable the measurement of
global folding patterns in membrane proteins and amyloids. These
proteins pose significant challenges to established methods like
crystallography and NMR. Recent FT-ESR results obtained by his group
members Katherine Stone and Marco Bonora, in collaboration with
Professor Mike Cascio, on the Glycine Receptor a ~250 kDa membrane
bound ion channel complex are highlighted.
